Would you believe that you can drop pounds just by drinking tea? Amazingly enough, that is a fact. Yes indeed! This might be better than all the ‘lose-weight diet‘ craze. I too was rather surprised that one could actually lose weight this way. Yet not just any tea will promote weight loss. A unique kind of tea is available to help you take off pounds. The special tea is called green tea. green-tea weight loss is not a temporary weight loss, but has a lasting effect. I learnt about it from my father-in-law.

He had recently gone to Japan and during one of the functions he had attended, there was a tea ceremony, which is quite popular in Japan. He was surprised to find that along with its fantastic flavour, this tea aids in weight loss, and is used by the Japanese to remain slim and trim. It is gaining in popularity all over the world and soon the weight loss pills which are available in the market will be out of fashion and people will turn to green tea to help them lose weight. There is no big secret to loosing weight. There is not a miracle pill or a snake oil that will make you loose weight and keep it off. There are a couple basic rules for reducing weight. The first is to cut back on consumption of calories.

2. Move more. What should you eat less of? Stay away from food items that contain lots of fat or calories with minimal nutrients, as well as foods loaded with carbs. This does not mean that you should avoid fat and carbohydrates entirely. It simply means that you should make wise choices. For example, you can make simple changes like removing the mayo and bun from your hamburger or replacing fries with apples or carrots.

Even slight changes in your eating will make a large difference in your waitline over time. Most people claim that they just don’t have time to exercise. It is quite essential that people realize how important their health and lifestyle is to them and make time for exercise. Get up earlier then usual, do some sit-ups, watch an exercise video and instead of hopping on the bus, walk. When you park at work or school, choose a spot in the back and walk to the building. Follow these easy rules and before long, you will find that you are leaner. I had put on a lot of weight over the past six months since the time I stopped smoking.

As a substitute for cigarettes, I was consuming more food. I wasn’t even aware that I had put on almost 20 pounds in half a year. One day my wife told me that I must do something about it as it was not good to be so fat. I quickly noted that I was eating without a reason, I was not hungry. Because I was not excercising at all I needed to at least change my diet. I also took the decision to burn the fat by doing regular exercise. I took membership in our neighborhood gym and decided to go for an hour’s workout every day.

I did not feel good about myself anymore. I made up my mind,I needed to get back into shape like I had been before the holiday season. Whatever happens, I won’t miss attending the fitness center for a single day.
